Those with MSI K7TPro2-A DMA problems please read....

If it happens to you, I would like to know if you're using SBLive Value!

I've managed to turn on DMA and achieve stability (for both Primary and Secondary IDE channel) once I REMOVE MY SBLIVE VALUE!

Put my SBLive Value back on, the system immediately becomes unstable....

So in conclusion SBLive Value! + IDE DMA = unstable behaviour....

Please share your experience....

I have sblive + DMA and am fine.

Both win98 + win2k.

I have the same problems as you have...

I have a TBird900MHz
Soundblaster Live value
128MB RAM PC133

Whenever you play a game or a program that uses Direct3D the computer locks.

You can verify this by playing a Divx film; there the computer locks very often.

To lock less I've entered in the BIOS and changed the AGPDRIVING CONTROL to MANUAL and the AGP DRIVING VALUE to E7.

In all forums of many websites there are people which have the same problems...I hope MSI will do something about it.
