Those who have an Apple iBook

Pixel count on the 14" is exactly the same as the 12", so you are technically not getting any extra real estate on the 14", just everything will look bigger. I'd get the 12" for portability.

12". the 14 is just a magnified screen. IMO not worth the extra weight, unless you have not so great eyesight.

The new 14" Ibook can now include the superdrive(dvd burner). If you need one you now can get it on an Ibook rather than paying for a 12" or 15" powerbook. Also the Powerbooks can run a secondary monitor iwith a different window, rather than being limited to mirror status, like the IBook..

If you don't need the DVD burner, get the 12".

By the way, you can get the 12" 1.2 GHz for $850 AR.

Also the Powerbooks can run a secondary monitor iwith a different window, rather than being limited to mirror status, like the IBook..
There is a (safe) spanning hack. Driving external monitors is not an issue.

What did you end up doing? Getting the 12" or the 14"? I was in the same position not long ago... then I caved in and got the 17" Powerbook fully loaded....
