Thats ridiculous. My sister got her own brand new h3 that had an msrp of 38k at 21 and the insurance was 1800 year. You must live in a high insurance area.

Ummm...are you sure she just wasnt a codriver under mommy and daddy?

Insurance for girls is cheap, 1800 a year sounds right (maybe even a little high) for a 21 year old female on that car. My wife got her Yukon when she was 25 and insurance was just under $50.00 a month for full coverage, and before that even when she was 18-21 she never paid over $100 a month on any car.

she never paid more than 1200 a year for full coverage insurance? Where do you guys live?

After running some quotes using other cities I'm pretty its just Las Vegas that is fucking out of this world expensive for insurance. I'm jealous of how much some of you are paying for sure.

CA is garbage.

2006 TSX
2003 SRT-4

Single male, 25 years old, no accidents/tickets ever

$2,400 a year with AAA. WTF! I've gotten other quotes, and they are generally the same.

I know the SRT-4 demands a pretty high premium, but even when I had a corolla it was still 1400$ a year.

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion SEL and my 6 month premium was just renewed for $368.53 for full coverage with a $500 deductible. I'm currently 23 and I am married so the coverage is for my wife who is 22 as well.

Kansas City suburbs.

It depends a lot on where you live. I pay $100 a month for insurance on a 2007 Camry LE, but the rate is very high because I have 100/300 coverage. Minimums are much cheaper, but I have to "protect myself".

I just turned 25.

You guys have expensive insurance..

$470 every six months insures my:
2002 Saturn L100
2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible
1994 Dodge Dakota 4x4
I have full coverage on all vehicles.
I am 28 and married.

The highest that my insurance ever got to was $700 every six months for a 1 year old car after I graduated (and therefore lost my good student discount).

Insurance prices depend largely on the state. When I lived in Michigan, insurance was outrageous. In Missouri the prices aren't too bad. I pay $519 every six months for full coverage on:
  • 2001 Mazda Tribue
    1992 Mercury Cougar
    1979 Chevy Monte Carlo
I'm 26 and married. It would probably cost 3-4 times that much in Michigan.

Edit: It didn't cost much (if any) more before I was 25, but that might have been because of my student discount.

I'm 27 and I pay $68 month on a brand new mkz.

She asked my parents at first and they said no so she got it on her own.

$2200/yr I'm 22 and that was my quote for a new civic. I pay $1200 yr on a 12 year old beater right now.
