YES I KNOW, THATS WHY I CALLED THEM TRAITORS 🙂

Boo hoo, they were mistreated. At least they still have their heads!

you're right, we should saw off their limbs, or at least break them, who cares cause they still have heads, i agree!

It is war and there are rules to war, but we are the only that have to follow them? Makes sense to me 😕

i agree, THIS IS WAR!!!!

Just intrested... When and where was it actually proven it "wasnt bad at all"?

That was me 'citing' ntdz...good luck trying to get anything in the way of proof from him however, I've found it's mainly rhetoric and invective that he deals in.

I see how this works...you would rather we base our behavior in war on being better than the terrorists. Is that our only responsibility? As long as we aren't as bad as Osama bin Laden we're all ok? Is that the system you'd like us to follow?

Remember, that that very institution, Saddam murdered somewhere between 30,000 and 60,000 of his own peeps. Is that anywhere near what has happened to the prisoners under our care? Hmm?

I really wish that all of this crap would not receive coverage anymore. Enough is enough, get over it already......

The cost of freedom is considered unacceptable until it bites you in the ass.

Of course not, we did the most direct approach: We just blew them up in His glory!

Ah, so it's only the end number that matters, not the actions themselves, the repercussions, and the efforts to conceal it all. Gotcha.

In addition, the special forces confiscated photos of a prisoner who had been punched in the face.

Why was he punched in the face? Did he try to get away, or resist?

Prisoners arriving at a detention center in Baghdad had "burn marks on their backs" as well as bruises and some complained of kidney pain, according to the June 25, 2004 memo.

These could be consistent with combat injuries.

Surprisingly, the enemy often objects strongly to capture and detainment.

This story could well be just more anti-America AP spin.

The fact that some prisoners have injuries isn't really enough info. It's like saying the police punched a guy in the face while he was in custody. Well, why did they punch him in the face?

The FBI would likely think military interrogation is excessive, since it differs so much from their own methods, so I don't make much out of FBI complaints.

OF course, the U.S. is going to investigate and prosecute anyone found guilty of abusing prisoners. Rather unlike what the enemy or Saddam would be doing. Paying them bonuses I suppose?

Sick. Remember the Muslim Army Officer who was arrested at Gitmo who had "Porn" on his computer? Kinda makes one go "hmmmm, could it have been...nah."

Anyone who defends these acts needs to think twice. If this is how the US operates, perhaps the Terrorists are not so wrong.

Ashcroft and Gonzales say the Geneva convention is useless and outdated. so now it's ok to drop napalm on civilians?

and to top it off, America was supporting him during the time. America's ready to turn a blind eye against atrocities until the committer of the atrocities touch's somebody else's oil.

and South America is just littered with US-supported fascist dictators, Trujillo

who will use the neutron bomb first?

you think you're free?

Woah, man. That's, like, deep. I've never thought of that before. I've been asleep all this time, a slave to the system, oppressed by monstrous boogey men over whom I have no control!

Yes, I'm free, in any sense that matters. I can't kill people without state-sanctioning (death penalty or military), but I can live, get an education, find a job, and - get this - pursue happiness. What's more, I get to do this virtually free of worries of others violating my rights. That's freedom.

Here's a fun question. We're supposed to respect other countries' sovereignity and not invade them, but we're supposed to somehow stop the atrocities of the world. Which is it? In the history of the world economic sanctions have never been effective. Yell at a country all you want and it's not going to chance. That leaves force.

You can't just say "no" in this world. You have to provide an alternative.

Also, Trujillo is not in South America.

We aren't following the rules. That's the whole point.

I find it shameful that so many are still willing to rationalize this away as "not as bad as { Saddam | OBL | terrorists }." Have our expectations fallen so low that we're satisfied with being not quite as bad as some of the most evil people in the world? We're OK as long as we're only somewhat evil instead of totally evil? Sorry, that's not my America. My America represents something noble and proud and just. My America represents the best of humanity, not the worst ... or at least it used to.

i just thought up a good analogy that i'm going to use on my dad, because he's a fox news drone

just because a guy robs a bank, does that mean that we can rob an atm?
