What're your favorite movies? I'm curious to see some of the viewing habits of our more well-informed politicos.

Mine:
12 Angry Men
Shawshank Redemption
LOTR - the entire series, :D

Still working on my list. Let me know what you got!

Cheers!
Nate

Dr. Strangelove (the original NeoCon movie!)
Casablanca (stunning in its simplicity, the scene where Bogart reads the message and the rain (?tears, but a real man doesn't..) washes it away)
Ferris Buehlers Day Off
Caddyshack (possibly more complex and multi-level than the Bible)
To Catch A Thief (Oh my God, Grace Kelly is smokin hot....when the fireworks explode outside the hotel window...yahoo!!!)
Some Like it Hot (possibly the funniest movie of all time)
Gentleman Prefer Blondes (if the previous movie isn't the funniest, then this one is)
Office Space (Lumberg with a coffee mug in his hand doing Jennifer Aniston...classic)
Blade Runner (wonderful, dark)
Dune (original version with Sting, I particularly like the "heart plug" that the Harkonen have implanted)

That's a good list, all great movies. Off the top of my head, I'd add:
- Saving Private Ryan
- The Usual Suspects
- Amadeus
- Forrest Gump
- Blade Runner

- Star Wars
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- True Lies

- The American President (my image of how a President should be)
- The Big Chill
- Ferris Beuhler's Day Off (sp?)
- Office Space (for anyone who's worked in a corporate setting)

Plus the usual over-the-top comedies: Animal House, Blazing Saddles, Stripes, Airplane, Blues Brothers, and Caddyshack

Edit: addition

Heh, heh. My bad, but a delicious typo nonetheless. :)

Edit: Shawshank? I want my cookie. Just dip it in some Crisco, please. Oooooh, extra-fattening cookie. Droooooooooool.

See, normally I wouldn't care or comment, but a) the mention of Crisco always arouses my interest, and b) it was a good time to quote TSR.

Considering that I've spent the last several days watching B5 as my gf has went through nearly my entire collection (my favorite TV series, btw), all I can think of atm are sci-fi flicks. Will come back and post my list after we finish that up and I can think of things other than ships and aliens ;).
