Those of you with Zen Vision:M's, I'd like to know your experiences.

Even with the failure of the X-Fi (http://tinyurl.com/czw6f) (Note the 800+ thread about the problems with BF2) , I'm still looking at this product, just because of the DIVX support. Creative got that part right anyways.

Now, I'm more looking for your criticisms than compliments, just because I've basically been bombarded with the product's good points already. So what I want is an unbiased review of the Zen Vision:M, with an emphasis on the bad points. If anyone would like to even list one or two things they DON'T like about it, I'd be grateful.

I don't think it was released in the US or Europe yet. It might have been released in Singapore (where Creative HQ is located), but I'm not sure on that. I'm looking at the Vision:M, also.

You could check out DAPreview.net and its forums to see if anyone there has any info.

looks like amazon.com is already selling the black vision:m's so some people in the US must already have their hands on one.

There is drag an drop, just an unecessarily more complicated one. They're using MTP(Microsoft Transfer Protocol) instead of UMS (USB Mass Storage).

From what I've heard it WORKS through Windows Explorer, but I wouldn't know how the Zen handles the files properly.

i bought one in Hong Kong

It is really a beautiful thing. The software installed with the player integrates into windows explorer, so you can drag and drop or just use the right click context menu and send stuff to your player.

it's quite a bit better than the ipod video in almost all areas (except slimness and only wma album art support)

I believe it outputs a 640x320 picture with the TV-out upgrade.
You mean: 640x480?
That's pretty good compared to iPod's mediocre 320x240 then...

ive had mine for a couple of months already, great player....gets about 3:30 hours of video divx 5 format from my experience. If you have the player on lock position mp3s playtime is long, i have it on to work and until i go hit home about 9:30 hours and i still has some battery life left. All my mp3s are encoded lame cbr 192k or vbr 192.
