I believe one of the brand name hats you're looking for are called Jobbers.. I used to have mine full of glam rock hat pins.. ssooo rad! can't seem to ever find anything on ebay under that brand name.. would love to have another one..

they were originally an eastern desert army type hat. i had a ton of those back in the 80s with band names on them.

I had one in the 80's from Ron Jon Surf Shop. It was like a baseball cap with two separate flaps on the back that didn't wrap around the sides, they only covered the back of the neck. The cool thing was that they were small and thin enough to tuck up inside the cap, so you could wear it like a normal cap without flaps and then pull them out when needed. It was a perfect cap for playing golf. I wish they still made that style, but I've looked for years and can't find anything like it now.
