Hi Mech -
I had a similar problem with the P4800 deluxe (the 875 chipset). You didn't mention how bad the stability problems are, so I'm just going to throw out the usual suggestions. Make sure you've got the latest bios revision, my boards gone through I think 5 bios updates since I got it in June. Corsair admits they're SPD settings aren't good, you can check they're support site at:

Worst case, I'm pretty sure they'll RMA/warranty the chips.
If the system is really, really, unstable, go into the bios and set that to load with the setup defaults first, then check to be sure to disable the 'by SPD' settings for the memory. This will give you some really lame memory settings but it will at least stay up while you work things out. You might want to make sure the OC options are all disabled too. Both models of these boards are good, its just that Asus and Corsair pushed their stuff out the door in a hurry and we have to fix their mistakes. I don't have a problem with that because I had a hunch this would happen when I jumped on the bandwagon after the board had only been out for a couple of weeks. I can't really go much beyond this since you've got a different chipset. Keep looking through these forums because there were a ton of questions on this memory and board combination as well as mine. Good luck.
