Those Dos Equis beer radio commercials are genius

Agreed, one of the better ad campaigns out there. It's gold compared to all the other shit on the radio, like Tom Shane droning on and on for 15 minutes trying to sell you jewelry.

Not only are they not genius, they make me not want to EVER drink Dos Equis again.

I don't have a problem with the concept, but when the world's most interesting man speaks and sounds like a cross between Barry White and Ricardo Montalban, it really loses its credibility. What is interesting about "I rarely drink beer, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis"?

Sort of like how living above your parent's garage is not having your own place.

"His beard is listed on his Donor Card..."

"He's a lover, not a fighter. But don't get in a fight with him because he'll kick your butt..."

I love those commercials too.

Can someone explain to me who they mean by the 'most interesting man in the world'?
wtf is the whole thing about?

<croaked voice> stay thirsty, my friends!

reminds me of all the beach peddlers in the Caribbeans and Canary islands: my friend this, my friend that. I am not your friend, pal. Knock that shit off.

the first couple were good but they seem to have run out of steam lately. "when he gets abducted, the aliens ask for him to probe them"

But it has it's own entrance!

When I read your post I thought Tom Shane was a national chain of jewelers, then I realised that you're from Atlanta. I think the solomon bros commercials are worse than the Shane Co commercials.

Shane must be somewhat national because I hear the commercials in San Jose. However I never heard them in the Midwest.

same here. the first couple were funny, but really over played. when i finally saw it on tv, i was disappointed that the guy looked so... normal and uninteresting.
