what's the difference between using a dog as bait versus any other living thing? (worms, fish, etc)

I guess because it's the French that are doing it.

There is none. But we as humans tend to think that life has a hierarchy of value, and that we are on top.

I suggest if you ever go blind to try using a fvcking worm as your guide

Ever hear the term Dog is a mans best friend

So, are these people starving to death and there is absolutely no other way to catch these sharks? This does happen to be the year 2005.. in case some of you neandertals have forgotten

oh jeez...someone is too busy being superior to notice that the question could be seen as a moral quandry posed at the people who feel like dogs are just super pets but for some reason dont give a damn enough about animal life to actually do anything about it.
get over yourself.

The only difference is the anthropomorphic ethic of humans. Dogs are cute, cuddly, and more like us.

Oh great, another new 'piercing fad' to have the kids deal with.

About the dogs - it's OK if they want to use chichiuauas

Or French poodles. 🙂

That'll work, finally a real use for Yappy little rodents.

Chichiuaua is the spanish word for 'sewer rat'

(Still looking for an E-mail address for you . . if you want those Jet Blue wheel pics)

Exactly, its all relative, if you value dogs as pets another person may value dogs as bait. People need to put themselves in other's shoes.

it is a morally repugnant practice, imo, but not that much more repugnant than say the kinds of conditions that battery hens, battery pigs are subject to in the USA. the USA doesn't exactly have a stellar record re: the ethical treatment of non-human animals
