Thorton > Barton Cache enabling via socket Possible?

Anyone know if the L2 bridges on Thorton chips are connected to any pins on the CPU? Wondering if I can enable the extra L2 via a socket mod instead of scratching the CPU top layer to get an open bridge. Know it can be done with voltage, FSB, and multipliers...

I believe the methods mentioned are only via only the L2 bridge. No one has yet to mention anything about a possible mod via the socket itself.

Perhaps you should read the topic more thoroughly before replying hastely. 😉
