Thoroughbred cooling problem

I installed a Thermalright SLK900A heatsink and a 92mm Fan on the processor. However, my Bios tells me that the temp is still running around 60C. I removed the heatsink, reapplied the grease that came with it... no luck. I flipped the fan around just to see... nothing.

My case has 4 80mm fans in it as well, so I can't understand why it's running so hot. I was really hoping that I would be able to overclock the processor with this heatsink/fan.

Any insight or recommendations would be great.

Firstly, your motherboard is one of two on the market that actually reports real CPU temperatures instead of candy-coated ones. 60C is not a problem necessarily when it's a true reading. Accept the fact that your motherboard is different from almost every other model on the market.

Yeah, it would be nice if you could get it closer to 50C on that board with such a nice heatsink, so check out my Thermalright-specific tips that could help you ensure that it's not just making poor contact. Look here and see if that changes anything.
