i just saw on the news that in salinas high school in salinas, ca...girls are protesting that they should be able to wear thongs at school...saying that they [the admin] should worry about their education and not what they wear...that's hella funny...anyone else got more info on this story?

What the heck? What is the administration doing, examining up close the girls that wear really tight pants? My exgirlfriend used to wear a thong to school all the time (god bless) during high school and I never heard anything about underwear rules.

How does the admin know they are wearing thongs? They are not noticeable through clothing....

If their skirts are short enough to notice that they're wearing thongs maybe they should make a rule about miniskirts first

The only way you can really tell is if the person is wearing really tight black pants. With normal underwear you'll see the underwear line. But I can't see why this is a big deal.

I prefer wearing thongs underneath certain pants because they do reduce underwear lines. I think it's tacky if you can see the lines underneath clothing.

I would have to agree completely with Toolgirl. It looks really bad seeing someone with really tight pants and that nice underwear line saying hello to everyone.
