There were a few in HD last year. I think all of the movie commercials were in HD.

i can throw 300 mb of files onto an unlimited bandwidth spot, but i cant really have it on a specific site.

Typically, I capture using high quality MPEG2 and then encode to high-quality Divx for playback on my Philips 642 Divx player. I've been using this method to capture Adult Swim shows and they look really good during playback.

Just curious, and what software do you use?

Typically I use the ATI software that came with the card and record uncompressed then go through and clip/rip with Virtual dub..

I used to use ATi's software, but it's way too buggy and bloated for my liking.

I haven't really had any problems with it but then again I only use it to record full uncompressed video.. any manipulation after that is done on another machine since the recording machine is only a P3 500

Bump for you, great idea...i can't contribute anything as my AIW gets a crappy signal due to bad lines in the basement from channels 2-9 and I have rather limited bandwidth.

I'll be capturing the whole thing on the ReplayTV so if you need copies of commercials let me know, but I'm sure we've got that covered. I can probably spare 7 or so gigs of bandwidth, not much, but every little bit helps. PM me if you want the bandwidth.

Do you think maybe the main page should be hosted on a server that is not hosting any of the files? That way it's less likely to suffer the AT effect.

Awesome. Will have the account set up today sometime. Just need someone to design a main page and organize the commercial uploading/ripping/etc.
