This year's Sam's Octoberfest is not that good.

Anyone notice that the last few year's batches of Sam's Octoberfest beer have been gradually declining in quality? I'm very disappointed. It tastes like bud-light with some pumpkin thrown in this year.

it varies year to year enough to taste the difference?

this is my first year trying it. its good, in moderation. definitely a sipping beer.

I certainly enjoyed it as much as any other beer when I tried it this year, but I wasn't impressed. The Great Lakes and Bell's Octoberfests were much better than the Sam Adams.

Bell's FTW

Anyone tried Sam's new Coastal Wheat? It's pretty tasty..had some this weekend. Also tried Warsteiner Dunkel for the first time, very good.

Its the only draft I can find so it has to suffice. I've been drinking Paulaner and Hacker-P when I go with bottles though. I agree the sam's seems to be getting worse but pumpkins... Wtf are you drinking?

Glad to see it's not just me. I wasn't sure at first, but upon having a Brooklyn Lager Oktoberfest I knew this year's batch of Sam was subpar.

Pretty much. I don't really like it anyway.
