Curt Shilling, he is just the man this year. Well except last night, but stuff happens.

And I know you didn't ask about AL, but I'm predicting The ROCKET.

I myself would have to go with Randy Johnson on this one .

Going for over 300 strikeouts for 4 straight years ......... Currently at 239 for this year I believe .

Randy Johnson or Greg Maddux. I'd take Johnson if it were today, but Maddux is having a great year.

Greg Maddux. We'll see if Big Unit can hold up or suffer another late season lapses....the guy just throw lots and lots of pitch!!

They're both having fantastic years. W-L is the same, ERA is comparable.
Johnson is holding opposing batters to a .195 average (!) while Maddux only has 18 walks. Basically, it's the classic control vs. power pitcher debate.

I would give a slight edge to Maddux myself. I think he is among the greatest righthanded pitchers of all time.
