May I suggest that the source of your anger may not be at the stupidity that got those people killed, but at all the stupidity you had to deal with as a child that caused you profound misery? The problem with anger like that is that the anger itself provides no relief because we can't change the past or even will it into consciousness to easily understand it. Furthermore stupidity is part of the human condition. We are all angry and our anger is stupidity itself. Anger will not make anyone any smarter nor does its presence imply intelligence. There is nothing we can do but forgive and it's about the last thing we want to do. Rage is there to hold back pain, what the stupidity of others did to us. And because all that happened long ago, we are the new stupid who harm the innocent with out stupid rage.

You should listen to Leaaa as he or she or them (never asked them), is correct in stating that you really are not understanding how demeaning what you said about the incident. They were only trying to survive. Now if someone did something like this in America, I would agree to call that dumb and stupid.

For example, in the following videos it would be ok to call the dump truck drivers acting stupid for what they did, as both incidents occured here in the United States. Infact, in the second video the dump truck driver did not even want to leave the truck even though it was engulfed in flames.

ok, I am going to say I just find both of those video's sad.

1st video is a video from the power company workers of all things. Everyone working their are employees of the power company who owns the lines. The person who screwed up is not the driver, but the spotter on the side. But before we even go and blame the spotter, we should actually blame the foreman that day for not foreseeing that when the truck pulled forward the lines would close on it. After all, this is the power company. Fortunately, this truck is not shorting to ground, but across the truck line to line, which likely will throw a emergency shutoff / breaker.

2nd video:
this is a road crew on a construction area. Lots of blame to go around on this one. First off: Who ever was running the site and pushing the driver to move before dropping his bed. This is obviously a move by the contractor to save time and to try and make things go a bit quicker at the expense of safety. Of course the driver will get all the blame.

The reason the truck driver is not jumping out is he is specifically trained not to when his truck contacts electrical lines.

IMO you ought to be thankful of your good fortune to have never experienced a level of desperation sufficient to "make stupid choices" as you put it, but you should be mindful of the fact that it is mostly down to good fortune.
