Girls like her are a dime a dozen. Hollywood doesn't want your average person. We want to see someone who stands out.

Don't get me wrong. I think she's pretty. But perhaps they also had a specific role they wanted her to be really fit for. The thing is if these girls don't keep their weight in check they get huge really fast then the career is toast. It's 1000 times harder to get work when you cross the too fat line.

I think she's far from fat, and I've never seen her look fat in anything I've seen her in. I've seen Hunger Games (unfortunately), X-Men: First Class (unfortunately), and most of Winter's Bone (was pretty good.)

She seems nice, but I don't understand the infatuation with her. Is it mostly just people who love those Hunger Games books?

I haven't seen anything from her which has blown me away, and while I think she's cute, I'm not particularly attracted to her. I'm sure she'll be devastated to learn that

Summary: not fat, seems nice, but puzzled by the focus she gets.

EDIT: I was pondering why it is I don't find her particularly attractive, which frankly is strange because she SEEMS to meet the usual (and very easily met) requirements. I think I figured it out. There is something about her which feels "sisterish" na'mean? She seems like she could be my sister (though I don't have one) rather than an object of attraction. Odd, I know, but that's the vibe I get from her.

She should have lost weight for the Hunger Games out of sincerity in her acting, similar to how Christian Bale did for Machinist before beefing back up for Batman.

That really is Bale. Hardly a slave though, he wanted to do this.

He was on something like only one apple per day while making the Machinist.

And of course I am sure some steroids had a part in him putting on 80lbs so quickly and being so skinny and frail from his previous role totally legal.

Jennifer Lawrence is kinda strange...sometimes she looks cute in a girl next door kinda way, like she is when she dresses down a bit or how she looked in silver linings playbook. Then sometimes she looks like it would be physically impossible for any woman on the planet to look any more sexy, like she did in the red dress at the oscars. That was a "holy damn, who is that?" moment.
