I like! Is her album as "hard" or is that just live? Like fischerspooner - really hard live but poppy albums.

I don't know. Listening to metallica start One while playing in a field with 6+ speaker columns around you had you thinking you were in a LZ.

those people who were holding their faces/crying were probably on some sort of drugs and tripping and thought that they were seeing some holy spirit.

Live seems "harder" than the albums, but some of her more current videos make Madonna look like a choir girl:D

Impressive entrance. I'm sure the effect will be a lot more intense live than via youtube..

Edit: Her hair looks like a cross between Bam Bam from The Flintstones, and Nina Hagen.

That statue was freaking me out. I thought it was going to shoot lasers out of its eyes like in The Never Ending Story.

I was really impressed by the entrance of Maynard James Keenan at the last A Perfect Circle concert I attended.

Basically, they had him atop a tall set of risers on a platform, but in front of him was a white sheet/shroud hung in a semi-circle that obscured him from the view of the audience at all angles. Then, behind him, they had a semi-circle of small spotlights that cast his silhouette on to the sheet in front of him. They would fade the spotlights in and out individually so that his silhouette would seem to disappear from one area of the shroud and reappear on another. It gave him a very transient and illusory appearance.

This was all done to the opening song, which was "Vanishing."

All in all, I thought it was a very well-thought-out, simple, yet visually effective illusion. You kinda had to see it to understand, though.

Yes, I agree, she's really good...

Funny enough, my first contact with her music was through "Sans Contrefaçon", a song prominently featured on the soundtrack of a funny film called "Pédale douce"... I had no idea who she was until then.

But then again, that's the best way of discovering an artist :)

She's been called the French equivalent of Madonna and I have heard if French was the dominant language she would probably be where Madonna is today in popularity (for pop music).

I've never heard of this gal before, nor did I particularly care for any of the songs linked within this thread. That said, I love women singers with sultry and ethereal sounding voices, and she's definitely got one.

Through the links provided, I was able to navigate to this video, which has totally captivated me.

I'd post also Pourvu Qu'elles Soient Douces but she's nude in that one if I remember correctly so I won't.

The way she strips in L'Amour N'Est Rien is awesome too. Absolutely great body and beautiful derrière.

I accidently found a high quality video (688 x 516) of L'Amour N'Est Rien, I can't believe this is a 40+ year old woman.:Q

I know it is in French but the current music situation in America has me looking elsewhere.:(

Little bit of trivia, Mylene Farmer is the one who created, wrote the songs for, and mentored Alizee and made a cool 10 million euro on that alone.:Q

I've heard that second song before, but it was a somewhat different version...probably a remix, I'm thinking.

She does a good job for an old woman.

Really enjoyed that drummer under the statue.
