i like a good rational debate as much as the next person, but when it comes to nvidia/ati arguments they have the melodrama of a daytime soap-opera mixed with the intellectual elegance of a "tastes great!/less filling!" diatribe bound together with a debate on religion...

i get carried away from time to time myself, but sometimes in a moment of lucidity you just have to laugh at it all(yourself included)

:D
BTW i love my 6800 it seems to overclock well, right now i am running it at 380-1100 and after benchmarking i forgot to turn it down before playing farcry, and it ran GREAT! you know what that means right? time to ramp that puppy up some more!

ARRRG!

wow 1234 posts and it comes up as a humorous common sense look at the ultimate ridiculousness of it all. I have the final answer to both the amd vs intel and the nvidia vs ati question!

Intel is better at everything than AMD is with the exception that AMD is better at everything than Intel is
Nvidia is superior to every prouct that ATI has except those products that ATI is superior at over Nvidia which is all of them.

the radeon 9500, 9600, 9800 etc. have better anti-aliasing than their geforce counterparts, handsdown. screenshots will clearly show it. i feel anti-aliasing capability is an extremely important feature, as it really contributes to the look in a big way.
