He has died..
The $100 homeless man who became famous for his generosity has died ... TMZ has learned.
We're told Kenni Thomas Nickel -- featured in a YouTube video that generated 40 million views -- was found dead in an L.A. alleyway. The L.A. County Coroner's Office tells us Nickel died from chronic alcohol abuse. He passed away last month.

"I can't believe it!"
said no one.
"No one" -- except the OP.

The problem was never "assumptions people make about homeless being bums." The problem continues to be that bleeding hearts lie to themselves about the real problems and, thus, we can never address or solve them. Indeed, we get attacked for even pointing it out.

You are a terrible person, OP. You tried to shame us into accepting your distorted view of reality, but that's not what makes you terrible.

This man's alcoholism could have been identified and addressed. He could have been saved. Instead, by sharing and defending this fiction, you and other terrible people convinced more people to cluelessly subsidize and turn a blind eye to alcoholism.

Brainless idiots who believed this garbage killed this man with their goodwill. If you gave him money after ignoring the reality of his problem, you helped kill this man. Even if he didn't die, you weren't helping. Good job, idiots.

I wanted to see if there was any more information about happened with this man between the viral video and his death, since an indiegogo raised nearly $150k. What I found was this..

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-FAKE-actually-Kenny-set-inherit-150-000.html

There are so many issues with the story. The guy was set to receive a major inheritance and didn't need all of this money. I don't know what exactly happened in the video but at the very least there is much evidence that Josh Paler Lin drove the guy to the liquor store instead of covertly following him. None of the refutations by either Lin or Nickel very clearly denied this but if so that makes the video at least partially deceptive.

There are serious questions about whether or not Josh Paler Lin even gave Nickel the Indiegogo money. There was supposed to be a video showing him receiving the money which never happened. On his Facebook some contributors are saying their questions about this have been dodged, these videos have been linked:

Some food for thought - this is what Lin posted on his FB yesterday:

"I would like to send my deepest condolences to Thomas and his family. He was a kind and loving man. RIP my dear friend. ‪#‎RIPThomas‬"

Apparently, Nickel had been dead since late May (http://ktla.com/2015/06/24/man-in-v...video-dies-of-alcoholism-l-a-coroners-office/). Some dear friend, only knows the guy died nearly a month later when it's reported by the mass media.

Lin should seriously be investigated for fraud.

I'm sorry but if you fucking think this was true you are naive.

besides the fact that he had to walk past far better places to buy food then a liqueur store.

What was the purpose of giving a homeless man $100 and filming it? to make fun them? how many people did they give money to? did they just luck out and find this guy and it only cost them $100.

the whole situation smells of bullshit.
