ND's offense came to life against Penn State last week, and I think Rhema Mcknight will be one of the top 5 recievers in college football at the end of the year.
ND's defense has been good all year. PSU got two 2-minute drill type of touchdowns late, but after the defense had basically neutered them. Once thought the weakness on the team, ND's defense has more speed and depth.
Michigan will be the toughest test this year for the Irish. Michigan comes in sporting a ridiculous running game featuring several good backs. Henne has been passable this year but needs to complete a higher percentage of passes against the Irish. ND has a stout run defense and the possibility exists that this could become a one-dimensional attack for Michigan.
Michigan's defense is led by two bookend DE's with the following lines:
Rondell Biggs 8 tackles, 5TFL, 3 sacks
LaMar Woodley 8 tackles, 5 TFL, 4 sacks for 55 yards!
The Michigan D line will challenge the ND offense, and fortunately for the Irish they have a very experience line. However, ND has a 6'-8" freshman playing a lot of RT and this could be the area Michigan attacks with their pass rush. Michigan has a decent secondary but with only 1 pick in 2 games, it will not be enough to hold ND's receiving corps in check.
Add to the fact that the game is in South Bend, and the final score is ND 27, Michigan 21.
