This week's big games

#3 Notre Dame vs #13 Michigan
#2 USC vs #19 Nebraska
#4 Auburn vs #7 LSU

Personally, the only 2 games I care about are ND/UM and LSU/AU. I hope Nebraska beats USC mainly because I'm tired of hearing about them and they moved up in the polls on a flipping bye week.

As for ND/UM...I feel dirty for saying it but Go Blue.

I'll be in Auburn for the LSU game. Recently this game has been bigger then the Alabama game, if only for the SEC West race.

Memorable AU/LSU games I've attended:

1994: The Interception Game (AU returned 3 of 5 4th quarter INTs for touchdowns to win)
1995: The Night the Barn Burned (LSU fan dumped hot coals in a bad spot and burned the old Sports Arena to the ground)
1997: The Comeback (Dameyune Craig drove the team 80 yards in the final minutes for the upset)
2004: The Extra Point Game (I think everyone remembers this as Courtney Taylor's coming out party)

This should be an awesome game. So ready for saturday.

I hope LSU keys on Irons because Lester will have a field day running up and down the field. After this weekend Brad Lester will eclipse Kenny Irons in media coverage. Dual threats in the backfield again for Auburn.

You're leaving off the Florida/Tennessee game. It's back in the spotlight again.

This should be a great CFB weekend!

UF will roll over UT....unless Fatty Fulmer buys the refs (SOP for playing in Knoxville). UT is just too banged up on defense.

LSU's defense is nasty.

Ah yes, I guess you missed the 2000 game where a dropped pass was called a TD for UF to end the game. I guess we didn't pay enough.

And how is UM playing twice this weekend oh great tiger?

I'll give you that, but Auburn has yet to really open up the offensive playbooks. LSU has yet to be tested. LSU has essentially played 2 scrimmages.

Wow, you're the first UT fan I've met that doesn't openly admit the refs at Knoxville are biased.

Umm...a typo?

This is the one I will be watching. Tennesse spanked Cali, got spanked by Air Force but still managed to get in the win column. This game will show us if the last season is behind the Vols.

You're right. I don't want to make any predictions or trash talk, nobody really has any idea who will come out victorious when two teams of this caliber play. The only thing I'll say is the D could be better than the 2003 LSU team.

UT will lose this game and take themselves out of the running for the East. They're too banged up on defense to stop UF.

Ahh...but we have your defensive coordinator from that year. 😉

Don't get mad that you're the 2nd best program in the state of Alabama.

And get something more original than a Fulmer fat joke. It's been done too much.

Also,

#15 Miami (FL) vs. #12 Louisville
#11 Oklahoma vs. #18 Oregon
and the Bowden Bowl as well.

I think Oklahoma maybe overrated at #11, but they may still beat Oregon.

I agree. With an anemic passing game Peterson can only do so much with 8 guys stacked in the box.

I went to the OU vs Washington game this last weekend and they simply were not impressive. Peterson is a stud, but I think they will find themselves in trouble against a more solid team. Washington is horrible and they still kept the game close for about 2.5 quarters.

As a side note, Washington really has some a-hole fans. I didn't meet many of them, but the few I ran into were classless. But maybe I just ran into a bad bunch.

Looks like ill be firmly planting my butt to the chair this Saturday..cant wait for the UM/ND game since im a UM fan and my grandfather is a ND fan.

What about Virginia Tech vs. Duke? Now that Duke thinks it can be competitive in the ACC after being one blocked field goal away from beating Wake Forrest😉

Hoping that USC dies a slow and horrible death

Yah well unfortunately we lost by winning the Air Force game. We lost two of our starting defenders for the season and one of them was basically what you would call in NCAA Football console terms a 'gamebreaker' on the defensive line. Oh well.

We will probably be without our starting RB for the game as well and even if he does play it will be limited action.

BTW, not that polls matter that much at this point, but wtf did FSU stay at #9 after their game against Troy and TN dropped two spots? I would think that Air Force > Troy but I honestly don't know.
