A few of you may have these friendly friday office "picks".
I thought it might be a good idea if we all chimed in together and discussed our predicted outcomes.

If this is not allowed, so be it... but until then, here goes!

Favorites on left, underdogs on right, home team in CAPS, point spread far right
(point spread is basically spotting the underdogs the number of points)

Giants vs. ARIZONA - 3
JACKSONVILLE vs. Jets - 3.5
Miami vs. KANSAS CITY - 3
BUFFALO vs. Chicago - 3
New Orleans vs. DETROIT - 7.5
GREEN BAY vs. Carolina - 8
PHILLY vs. Houston - 20
PITTSBURGH vs. Cleveland - 6.5
ST. LOUIS vs. Dallas - 4
Tampa Bay vs. CINCI - 7
OAKLAND vs. Tenessee 6.5
New England vs. SAN DIEGO - 3.5
SEATTLE vs. Minnesota - 3
Denver vs. BALTIMORE - 7.5

Take Tampa and give 7. Cincinnati is terrible and Akili Smith is their starter this week. The Bengals will be lucky to score 7 points.

Take Denver and give 7.5. Baltimore sucks and they too can not score.

Take Chicago and the 3 points. Those bastards are in it at the end of every game.

Since I do bet on football every week, I'm very interested in the lines.

Last week, I got reamed, so I need to make it up this week, even though this looks like another tough week

What I'm thinking so far:

Buffalo (chicago is weak, buffalo's suffered through some tough losses, they'll cover the 3 points)
New England WITH the Over (they killed me on the spread last week, but tom brady will bear drew brees)
St. Louis (they killed me this weak, but Kurt Warner can't be stinking this bad for so long... even w/o Faulk, their 2 backups are awesome)
Denver (baltimore looks like a high school football team this year)
Oakland (i'm a bit weary on the 6.5 point spread)

STAY AWAY FROM:
Philly (20 point spread? c'mon!)
Green Bay (i woulnd't be the least bit surprised if carolina wins this one)
Minnesota (too much controversy.. Moss even gonna play?)
Giants (entirely too inconsistent)

Buwaha! Go Panthers! :D
I'm gonna laugh if the Panthers end up 15-1 this year. ;)

My joke must have passed you by..

RU vs. Tennesee.

We (RU) are just hoping our players come back alive.

RU = worst in NCAA D 1 football, Tennesee = 11. They are predicitng us to lose by up to 80 points.

My picks this week:
Giants
Jags
Dolphins
Bills
Saints
Packers
Eagles
Steelers
Rams
Bucs
Raiders
Pats
Seahawks
and Broncos

Hmm, looks like I picked all the favorites, though several iffy picks this week.
I wouldn't be suprised to see the following lose: Giants, Jags, Packers, Steelers.
