This was my playground as a little boy.

My mother was the maid and I would make use of the private library.

It really was a grand adventure as a 5 year old.
Even outside at the front I would climb the vines growing on the trees screaming like tarzan.

Any of you have any epic grand adventures as a lil kid?

😎 😛

Living in California, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Castle Park (A theme park in my town) were my playground. :colbert:

Before moving to Cali. I lived in North Dakota and my grandpa's ranch was where I played.

This was mine - except when I was there (3 months in the summer every year from 0-19), the lighthouse was in a different place and there was a LOT less people.

But if you read the article, It says it is now open to the public.

Not quite:

"In the late 1970s, after the property was listed on the Register, New York's Department of Environmental Conservation bought 129 acres (52 ha) of the former estate,[1] including the meadows along Route 9D, and opened it to the public as the Castle Rock Unique Area. Hiking trails now lead through it and up the mountain; however the house property remains private."

Not my pic, but I remember going in this area when I was a kid, swimming, fishing and bbqing right on the beach with my family. We would also go and play in the jungle. I haven't been back since 🙁

This was my playground when I was a child. Chazy Lake, New York. I lived in a house right on the lake at the base of this mountain.

Oh wow! how I glanced over that?! Thanks.

I will try and call them up.

If they invite me over I'll be in tears walking through the doors

I went to a similar place that longed for like you but it was fresh water hot spring lake.

It is warm year round and in winter time people go there to swim.

It is located in Arkansas.

I was studying voice with a principle singer at San Carlo Naples when I was a kid. I did my first opera at age 5 and used to play in the backstage area and in the rigging areas. Got into a little trouble climbing back there.
I used to swing down from the rafters pretending to be spiderman and used to hide and watch the girls get dressed int he dressing room.

Good times.

Used to also sneak into the monestary near out house and befriended the monks who taought me how to shoot and hunt and paint. Vomera was a beautiful place to grow up in.

! So much of that! That is the best part of growing up 🙂

Heh, this is right down the road from me. I'm in Wappingers Falls.

If you remember a 3 alarm forest fire back in the 1970's

It was accidently started by me. Not sure if its still legal to burn your own trash outside anymore.

I could say that was my adventure in Gastonia North Carolina.

I needed an emergency place to hang my hat and a co worker said I could stay at her place.

I totally regret doing that and surprised I did not die from it.

Turned out Ducey was a gang member. Heck! Her entire family was fresh out of jail with gang tats. I had to get ready for works one morning and went to my car and two guys were leaning against my car. One with a sawed off shotgun and the other with an Uzi.
Ducey Duce leaned out of the front door and yelled out - He's ok guys! Hes with me!
