Finally? I thought that was common knowledge, and not really worthy of bringing up. We were talking about pancakes here which make a fine meal, but they' certainly aren't waffles. Sometimes second best is good enough.

I thought my family were the only ones that knew this! Absolutely true, and it is way too hard to find grade B B&M.

I cannot stand real maple syrup as it is far too sweet.
Just use less. There's no need to have pancakes (or waffles, or biscuits, or french toast, or oatmeal) dripping with syrup.
