Make sure your mirrors and bar-ends will clear van, truck and car mirrors. It's not a major deal when they connect, usually just a loud clacking noise, but it is embarrassing. Other drivers may not like you just for lane-splitting, but tapping their mirrors out of adjustment makes it worse.

great that's hit and run. its not a TAP it can and does break them.

i like hitting mirrors and lopping them off. They make a nice popping sound and it is funny watching them dangle there on the side of the car.

You have no qualms about creating a couple of hundred $$ of damage to a vehicle.

Yet if someone were to knock off a mirror from your bike, different attitude would surface I expect.
