I recently bought Quake 4 and I was about to play it....I was asked for a CD key so I started looking at the case and to my surprise....there wasn't one 🙁 no manual nothing....I guess I get to take this copy back and switch it.

I seem to recall it asked for the CD key during install?

Edit: Sorry.. thought you said you installed it & went to do multi-player before it asked for the key

:thumbdown; walmart
But goodluck gettin them to do it

COSTCO has an amazing return policy though 😀
I exploit their policy for the greater good

I remember when I bought Doom 3, there was no CD Key printed inside the case where the CD Key was suppose to be. EBgames exchanged that back for me so that was all good.

That's gonna be really hard to prove man, I think they'll tell you you're out of luck. If they do call your CC company (if that's how you paid) and contest it.

Good luck.

you should be good because no company can call you a liar. if the key wasn't there then it wasn't there. mistakes happen and they can't call a customer a liar, i have experience with several retail places and foudn this out right away.
I also work at Costco in the Major Sales department, so try and take advantage at mine Xylitol =p

Don't you need the CD to be in the drive in order to play it? I don't see any prob here.

OP, did they gave you any grief about exchanging?
