This sucks...

My best friends Mom apparently had some issues with money and other things.

She calls her the other night and tells her some really hateful, nasty stuff and tries to
fight with her over money issues.
She even goes so low as to tell my friend that she wishes she had never been born,
that she wishes she wasn't her daughter, that when my friend was diagnosed with
Cancer and almost died from it but came out ok, that she wishes she had died then.....
and stuff like that.....
OMFG

then the next night my friends Mom dies!
She died at home in her sleep...but it was shocking and unexpected because she
was not that old, and was relatively healthy.

This is totally weird.

I feel really bad for my friend because she didn't say or do anything to deserve to be spoken
to that way by her own Mother.

What really sucks is to not have made peace with her Mom or vice versa before she died.

Sad and upsetting story....

Very strange.

At the risk of sounding insensitive, it does sound like the relationship between the two wasn't that great to begin with...

No OD
she apparently died from a cardiac arythmia....

But it SO sucks for my friend to be talked to that way and then
lose her Mom the next night.

That really sucks, she should probably seek some counseling sometime in the future, that can really screw with your mind.

I think the frame of mind the mother was in probably made her situation even worse.......... stress plus negative attitude are not something you want to mix.

I feel sorry for your friend........ for not making peace & for getting such undeserved treatment.

Condolences,
Aquaman

Man that sucks!

I hope your friend is taking it OK.

Well I guess NO ONE would take something like that OK, but I hope she is at least hanging in there.

this may sound horrible, but from your friend's perspective, this might not necessarily be such a sad occasion if she has always been treated that way...

my condolences for your friend...

I have a feeling that hte last thing on your friends mind is the argument. Just go pay your condolences and be a friend through out.

Tell your friend that the arrythmia may have started by the night she called & that it may have reduced the flow of blood to her brain enough to significantly alter her behavior.

Depending on the arrythmia, she could have shed small blood clots into her brain over time, causing a series of micro strokes.

I kind of know the feeling, only from the other side. My cousin once called me at some insane hour, it was really late (or early depending on how you view things) anyway I really laid into him. I was pissed. He was "in the streets", a hustler basically, but I still tried to encourage him to straighten up from time to time.

He had a good heart and would always end our calls with "love you man". Anyway, after I laid into him he apologized, gave me his standard "love you man", and I just hung up, irritated. He was shot dead 2 days later. I hate that my last words to him were harsh. He apologized and I banged on him. I'll regret that for the rest of my days.

thanks guys....appreciate the thoughts.

Yes, its a tough one for her and I'm being there for her as much as
I can be....

I think perhaps that wherever the Mom is now, she probably regrets her words too...
I've heard that if you don't make peace before you die with your loved ones...that it can
be bad too.

Stress can do it for sure....Did she smoke.

On the other hand my mother has told me similar things when I was younger...At the time I couldnt understand...But as an adult I understnad stress and how it can take control of your life,

Still the bitch deserved it.

thanks-could you sing it for me? 😉

Alright...
Alright...

First of all

When you wake up in the evening and the day is shot
Find yourself complaining 'bout the thing you ain't got
Never crossed just the way that you wanted it to
Cliche of the day, cest la vie that's just

[Chorus:]
Life, it ain't easy
It's so tough
It ain't easy
(Whatchu wanna do, say whatchu gonna do)
Put a smile on your face
Make the world a better place
Put a smile on your face
(Whatchu wanna do, say whatchu gonna do)
Put a smile on your face
Make the world a better place
Put a smile on your face
(Whatchu wanna do, say whatchu gonna do)

And another thing

You can say that I'm a dreamer and you think it's uncool
Preaching 'bout the better life I learned in school
But you get what you give in this life that we live
And all that you do come back to you

[Repeat Chorus]

Yo,
When things isn't right there's no need to fight
Come on be nice
No need to fight
Stay polite even when you're hurting don't forget to smile
Give love to (?)
When you do good you'll get your reward
United with undivided we fall
Put a smile on your face and greet one and all

[Repeat Chorus]

People love you when you smile
And hate you when it's through
Lots of happiness
We are wishing you
If you come from Jamaica or Honolulu, yeah
Keep a smile on your face
I'll see the good that you do

Smile (smile)
And everything will be fine..
[cont. ad lib till end]

Cheers,
Aquaman
