Did you get it on DVD? Cuz then its worth it anyway.

Yes 😀
I never watch the extra features but I will do this time so I don;t feel so cheated

haha, and make sure to appreciate the digital picutre & sound 🙂

The one problem with Netflix is that a "bonus disk" like the one in a Beautiful Mind counts the same as a whole movie. So I never get see the stuff on these things as I'd rather just have another movie.

Anyway, I thought Beautiful Mind was a bit overrated. It was good but certainly not one of the best movies of the year as the award shows would have you believe.

I personally felt that the movie was pretty good...I agree with Flavio though, it wasn't movie of the year material...

With a DVD you can pause and rewind, on top of the special features, better picture quality, and better sound. With Netflix around, there is no reason to even get HBO, at least not for the movies.

If it makes you feel any better, they've been playing it all week 😉

LOL, I kinda doubt that it does! 😀

I think this movie deserved every award it received. Great story, great acting, based upon actual persons.

I bet you'll feel even better when you forget to turn it in on time and rack up about $10 in late fees on this thing..

On HBO-HD its much better than even DVD digital sound and video.... 🙂

This movie makes me cry like a little baby at the end.

The part that had an effect on me was when John received the pens from all his colleagues. To be honored by your peers in this manner is, imo, one of the more profound accomplishments.

Another way to get your money's worth (vs. watching it on HBO)

Hit pause

Go take a dump

Call your mother

Finish the movie

I think it's a great movie, Oscar was well deserved.

If you still have the DVD I thought the director's commentary was also well worth the time.

Yup, that part had me leaking too. It's like, he showed up on campus all those years always tucked in a corner of the library, getting used to being a nobody. Then one day he goes into the Lounge(?) to find out that not only was he not forgotten, but was highly respected....ummm, I'm feeling a little flacklept...sniff...A Beautiful Mind or Barbara, who deserves the recognition more...discuss!
