i'd be ecstatic if i had a dependable tee shot. yesterday i shot 9 in the morning. luckily it was on a course without much penalty, except for the massive trees lining the fairways. i was slicing it so far right and so high that i could play my second shots back into the fairway or green by hitting it right over the trees 😛

i didn't have a good tee shot until the last hole. still... managed to put up a respectable 41 🙂 one-putted both of the first greens from 30' or so for pars 😀

go to the range guys. practice rolling your hands variably more counterclockwise as you are making contact. practice winding up and shifting your weight at your hips. wind up radially and not laterally as you take the club back and bring it forth. and for gods sakes, make sure all your weight is sent along the same vector as the clubhead/desired trajectory.

A slice is almost always caused by your grip. The only way to get a true slice is the clubface is open on impact - that's your grip doing that.
