it would be pretty hot if it would write my term papers for me. that would be sweet.

An Automatic CS Paper Generator

But back on topic, if you manually style headers one by one etc then this product may not be that exciting to you. But if you're one who actually uses a word processor the way it was meant to be used, then you'll get excited with each release.

I found it interesting how the default font isn't Times New Roman anymore.
Apparently M$ made a single minor error in ClearType and the correction of that has brought about a re-write of the font stack for future M$ products.
Can't remember where I saw the info or I would point to it.

As to this post, I hope someday MS or someone scraps the whole idea of the Office sweet being seperate from the OS..

It's suite, not sweet. And why? What do you hope to gain by integrating the two?

More importantly, what would THEY gain by integrating the two? They can sell a new version of Office every few years and make a lot of money. Putting it with Windows and raising the price wouldn't make sense for them because 1) Not everyone needs office, 2) Sales would go down if price were raised.

First off I don't care what "They" would gain. I don't purchase software for the benefit of the company making it. That is just stupid. I know it wouldn't be economically smart for MS to do so but another company/Linux dirto could do it. If a company can make a Linux distro to make a PC into a router/firewall like smoothwall I can't see why one wouldn't make a straight office OS.
The purpose of integrating the two would be the elimination of buying 2 pieces of software. When I use my office PC why do I need all the extra "stuff" anyway? Why have all the extra's that just complicate everything for newbie?s?
Maybe if someone would be concentrating on just an Office PC they would have some true innovations instead of just making things look prettier then the previous release. I'm not saying MS or others haven't improved there products but it shouldn't have taken this long.

Most people I know hate upgrading office versions because all of the menus have been moved around and they can no longer find anything.
Nothing in the presentation made we want it.

So all you want is someone to bundle MS Office with your computer, most OEMs already do that in some form.
