Big Trouble in Little China and The Thing Rock. I thought both of the "escape from" movies were kinda mediocre. Tombstone is great. I liked Soldier quite a bit. I'm gonna have to go with Stargate. Stargate was such an interesting movie that 2 TV series were spawned off of it, one of them running for like 10 years or something ...

So nobody here has seen Executive Decision?

That gets triple points because Seagal plays an asshole who dies early on and then Halle Barry plays a hot stewardess who helps them. Then the guy who played the scientist in Terminator 2 and Oliver Platt try disarming the bomb. Actually I don't even like that movie, but nevertheless I can see the appeal.

Anyone who thinks it's any answer but "Big Trouble in Little China" is a complete nimrod and should be subjected to wind, fire, and that sort of thing from a six-demon bag.

fixed.

I think Jack Burton would disagree:
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

i agree Jack Burton FTW

What about 3000 Miles to Graceland? It was epically bad, like Reindeer Games bad.

Holy crap, he was the voice for Elvis in Forrest Gump?

No one's mentioned Backdraft yet?

When Stargate first came out on DVD, I rented it. Recently I watched the complete Atlantis then SG1 series within 3 months and was going through Stargate withdrawal(kept having dreams with SG1 in them 😀) decided to watch Stargate(movie) again. I had totally forgot that O'Neill was played by Kurt Russel. Very good movie for sure, all storyline inconsistencies with the Series aside, but I don't agree that it's his best.

Going to have to vote for: Big Trouble in Little China. That movie I can watch again and again, enjoying it just as much each time.

I might vote for the Thing, but it's been so long ago that all I really remember is that I thought it was good. I barely remember the Escape movies, Used Cars ditto, probably haven't watched Tombstone because I burned out on Westerns while young, not even sure I've heard about Silkwood, Tango & Cash(with Sly Stallone?) I didn't like at all, Overboard was ok, and of the others mentioned I really like Soldier.

The Thing is definitely good. I also liked that movie Soldier.

Soldier is too shitty for words. They never even explained why there are a bunch of people living on a garbage planet.

Overboard is hilarious, though.

I thought they said they had crashed in a colony ship or some such.

Anyways. I vote for
Big trouble inLittle China
Stargate
The Thing
Everything else.

Well, the one thing I think we can all agree on is: Kurt Russell is the man.

Kurt Russell becomes the next Chuck Norris? Do I dare dream......

The Thing > *Other Kurt Russell Movies

Hard to believe all the mentions of Soldier, which was garbage... IMO of course. I mean it's a cheezy action movie that seems to focus more on drama than action.... acting from everyone is really bad, the story is completely predictable, cliche', etc. Yeah his best work ever. lol!
