This seems like something US citizens need to find a way to address.

Psychological alienation is a big business opportunity for criminal psychopath. An example:

Why do we live in a society with built in weaknesses that the sick can metastasize like a cancer? Where is the societal search for a cure for this. What is the nature of our paralysis in the face of obvious sickness?

The media tells us where the problems lie but offer no solutions. They are just a daily diary that will become our epitaph for no one to read one day. We have become like people who can’t take a shit. It ends in rupture and fatal septic infection.

Is there anything to this kind of diagnosis or any opinions on solutions? How does a nation raise its level of self awareness.

One thing seems clear to me and it is that unawareness includes the fact that the unaware are unaware they are unaware of how unaware they are and don’t want to know it. That is conceit and not humility. Think of the relationship between humility and feeling humiliated. Do you see a problem?

Conspiracy theories (from political, to racial to flat earth) and alt-medicine conspiracies are profitable honey pots for refining idiots from people with critical thinking skills. The rabbit hole intentionally gets stupider as you go down it, to weed out people with any critical thinking skills. At the end of that rabbit hole is the grift waiting to take advantage of this finely filtered and highly refined audience comprised of complete fucking idiots.

Media’s job is not to provide solutions to issues it covers. If it was it would quickly become corrupt and exactly what those that already believe in “mainstream media” conspiracies think is going on.

I disagree only as to what media's job is. I don't think their first job is coverage because what it covers is selective. I think it's real first and foremost job is to stay in business by having sufficient money to make a make a profit. Because don't know they hate themselves they also do not know that everything they touch will be corrupted by it. Your argument, therefore and in my opinion, is somewhere down the road from what you suggest. The choice of what to cover contains the same kind of corruption already that what you fear my suggestion would lead to. The solution that I think media could help provide is rigorous, active and continual debate on how to fix the Dunning-Kruger effect. How many people on a daily basis have a source of information blaring in their faces that they might not actually know much of anything, that it takes expertise, scholarship, commitment to scientific analysis and self awareness to know much of anything at all.

I disagree. Their primary job is to be a watch dog of government and private actions and to educate the public, whether good or bad. Things like sports, gossip, even tech news, is what helps pay the bills imo. Personally I wish money could be decoupled from the press but I think that’s an impossibility.

I'm glad you are calling these people sick and associating them with the pure horribleness that is cancer.

Maybe you are closer than I thought to realizing that effectively at this point, those people are pure evil. Just as history has taught us.

History is memory and memory is of the past. Past experience in humans is transmitted in words to others. What are transmitted are thoughts using words and those words are tied to memories of the past that are connected to the emotions we felt when we learned them. Someone shouting fire will get your attention even if there is no fire there. Similarly we have all been conditioned to have a bad reaction to evil, whatever that is? But in fact it does not exist. It is just a stimulation of the gag reflex triggered by some horrible memory in the past, and in particular ones that are deeply repressed and out of conscious awareness. We rely on them though as they serve as a defense, "I myself reject any notion that I am evil" but because evil triggers revulsion I want to blame someone else for making me feel that. That is accomplished nicely be evil people and they all need to be killed." This is our thinking.

This is what history has taught us, to blame.

But what is evil really? It is the belief that evil is real because what you believe is, becomes, your inner reality. When I set out to define what evil is and what the real good is, so as to have absolute certainty and to eliminate all irrationality from my thinking process, to embody the absolute good, I discovered instead that I knew nothing at all, that there is no truth, no absolute good, no meaning at all to life. And then something magical happened. I woke up with the realization that the notion there is meaning, that somethings are good and somethings are evil was unrelated to the joy of being. I am a monkey, born to swing through the trees, to pick fleas and enjoy the sun.

There are no evil people. There are only people who were trained to forget who we really are, some of them so perversely trained they will use the emotional bankruptcy of others go satisfy their own sick ego needs. There is no one to blame and that is a very good thing because all blame arises our of the fact that we were taught to blame ourselves. This is the whole point of forgiveness. You will forgive others truly only when you forgive yourself.

Naturally, you are entitled to defend yourself against sick people who act out. But no hate is required. Emotional reactions of a negative kind can screw up your focus on getting that job done with. It will also keep you from projecting that someone is out to get you who isn't.

We are asleep. What right do we have to blame others who are also asleep. How I wish I could blame someone. How I wish all my pain could be someone else's fault and I could get even for it. To be free you have to die to that wish. That wish is the ego. The ego was what saved me as a child. It allowed me to pretend I was a somebody. But you can never please them. The passions of ego can never be filled.

Was this a demonstration of posting without a scintilla of substance or was it just your weak attempt to ridicule something posted outside the range of the responses conditioning has made you too bigoted to deal with without having some childhood trauma threatening to raise its ugly head, or both? Why not do what so many of the other children too immature to deal do here and put me on ignore.

Here is what AI has to say on the topic, obviously quoting my own past work:

When exposed to truth tellers, people may experience a range of psychological reactions. These can include feelings of trust and credibility, a sense of reassurance or validation, and sometimes discomfort or defensiveness if the truth challenges pre-existing beliefs. The impact largely depends on the individual's openness to the information presented and their willingness to confront or accept the truth.
