This S-Vid problem is driving me insane!

i have a "powered by ati" 7500 card with s-vid out. i'm trying to output video via an s-vid --> composite adapter. however, my computer can't tell that it is even hooked up to the tv's RCA input. i know that this adapter works because i used it on my geforce before it crapped out on me. and i also know the video card's s-vid output works because i connected it to my parent's tv. what in the world can i do about this?

Thanks.

Try getting the new 3.2 catalyst drivers & control panel, you have to have the control panel to go with the drivers. Mine sets it up in the control panel. works great shooting a video game out to my HDTV Big screen TV. I'm dying to try the DVI out as i have it on my TV set but i have no DVI cable to use. $40 price for a cable is a little steep just to see what it looks like.

The S-video on my 8500LE works great with my big screen or DVD player but when I used the composite adapter to try and display on my TV in the master bedroom which only has composite input it displays B&W. I have no idea if this is relevant to your issue but the adapter does seem to fail to carry the signal correctly.
