This is the first thing that my new TH7II-RAID displays when my system boots up! lol what is that all about? Beta BIOS or even beta board? I hope not. It's doing some wierd stuff (takes 2-3 tries to boot, it thought my P4 1.6GHz was 1.8GHz and so on ...). I was about to flash my BIOS with the latest official one, but the one on ABIT's page is dated 12/04/2001. Is this the latest one indeed? I think the one I'm using right now is dated 2002 ... does anybody have any suggestions?

Oh one other thing, kinda relevant. I think the CPU util when the HDs are accessed is a bit high. Sometimes I experience a little slowdown, for example if I'm resizing a window it won't be smooth, the same for when I'm moving the mouse accross the screen, etc. Is this normal? Can I update the BIOS and drivers of my RAID controller without losing my current RAID setup? Would you advise using the BIOS and Drivers from HPT's website and not from Abit's?

Thank you in advance.

Just finished flashing my BIOS, it now thinks my P4 is 800MHz. Oh well, I don't have a problem with that, I just set the speed up manually.

Does anybody have any thoughts about the HD/CPU util issue?

Hehe never said it works. :] It's weird actually, with the new BIOS it boots up @ 1.6GHz (correct speed) but the menu inside the BIOS shows 800MHz. I'm not worried about that, it's the wierd CPU usage that worries me ... something wrong with the HPT controller. :[
