Not sure if you guys listen to 103.5 in or around NJ area, but they have this segment where they try to bust a suspected cheater in a given relationship.

Today a girl calls up the radio station and says a guy she has known in a relationship for 6 months is acting funny or standoffish. So she naturally thinks the guy is cheating on her. The radio station hosts decided to take on her case and investigate a little. So over the air, they pose as flower salesmen and call up her so-called boyfriend and offer him a free delivery of flowers to that "special someone". While the girl who originally called is on hold listening to everything, the dumb guy announces another girls name over the radio -whoops. The hosts of the radio station then ask what message would he like to add to the flowers and he says, "I had a wonderful first date with you, and I hope we get to spend more time...etc".

So now the world knows he is cheating and now his girlfriend gets put off hold and she starts going off on him in a fit of rage. "I spent so much time with you for 6 months and this is how you repay me!?!" "I couldn't even go to my gym classes because I wasted my time with you" "How could you do this to me" "We're suppose to get married and have a life together!"

The guy who is suspected of cheating is trying to cut her off on the rant and tells her to calm down. "Wo, hold up". Meanwhile the hosts the radio station try to dig at him for being a scum bag - he is trying to explain himself. I'm thinking there is no way he can explain himself out of this one - but there was.

The kicker is he has only been talking to this girl online or over the phone and they haven't been actually dating each other. The radio station goes dead silent while you still hear this poor girl in hysterics over the phone. Myself, even, took a moment to figure this out. She said "I was going to meet you when I was ready, how could you do this to me!". That's when it sunk in: bitch was crazy.

The guy said she said some stuff over the phone that made him feel real uncomfortable (Gee I can't imagine what). So he broke it off.

The radio hosts apologized for calling him and asked to make sure they he did not share his address to that girl. And because of all the commotion, they promised they would send the flowers to his current date.

Yes, it's called War of the Roses. A radio bit that's well over a decade old done on many radio stations. And it is HILARIOUS! I'm still shocked that people fall for it. My favorite one I've heard was where the cheater didn't understand what alimony was. He was trying to get another woman pregnant because he thought he could get extra money out of it.

I'll let you in on a little secret of the radio industry. These calls aren't allowed anymore. If you hear one, it's a bit using actors.

Why? Because the DJ needs to ask permission to record the convo? The ones that happen where I'm at start off by telling the guy the phone call is being recorded for customer service purposes.
