Ok so do you think this would work :
Swiftech quiet power 220.2
Swiftech MCP355 DC
XSPC laing top - This is the reservoir correct?
D-TEK Fusion v2 CPU block
1/2" Tygon tubing, 8'
Biocide
---
$207.00

Basically I'm going for CPU loop only. Will it be reasonable to omit a couple fans from my case, or possibly get lower CFM fans now? I don't want ridiculous now, or power wastage, and the temps are a huge plus too for water cooling. I read your whole guide aigomorla along with about 20 more haha. I'm not completely sure if this is all copper, or all aluminum though.

Just wondering what the fittings I should get for the barbs are? 1/2" ID or 3/8" ID. It's 1/2" OD tube with 3/8" ID so that's a little confusing.

Thanks very much!

Your loop is good, all copper / brass this is the res top for the pump you want. I use this setup with the XSPC rads currently but just switched. I used the Swiftech for quite some time and feel they are among the best. I also use this block but on a Q6600 and my temps have been good even with low speed yates but I can't say how the D-Tek will perform on an I7.
I use 3/8" I.D tubing over the 1/2" barbs, it's a bitch to work but your loop will look less "clunky", the tubing fits tight enough that you don't need clamps. I use 4" zip ties, 2 on each barb just for peace of mind but on more than one occasion forgotten a barb or two and never had a problem.
One thing that may cause you trouble with the 355 pump and top combo you chose is the suction on the inlet side of the pump may cause the tubing to collapse if it is a soft tube. Possibly what you can do is find another black tubing to match the tygon for that one section from the CPU block to the pump. You will appreciate the flexibility of the tygon once you have tried something else.
Here is the last build thread I did using the loop similar to yours.
