I just got my 1901fp yesterday and didnt notice any dead pixels then, today I noticed one, and then I checked the whole screen, found no more. Then later I found one at a spot which I could have missed before.

But right now I noticed another one very close to the first one I found and I'm 100% sure that it wasnt there before!

3 pixels so far... wtheelll?

Dead pixels are a result of manufacturing, its likely the pixel was faulty and died because of it. Return it.

A lot of places have minimum amounts of dead pixels to return. Typically it's around 6-8 I think.

That is correct, manufactures wont take an LCD back unless there are 6-8 dead pixels, however most retail places will allow you to return it to them in a set period of time. Dell also allows you to return them.

Many countries don't really have a return policy at all, do they?

If they do and you just can't stand it, take it back. If they don't, its still a great monitor!

All LCDs will have dead pixels, life goes on...

Actually no,my Samsung 191T has 0 dead pixels after 2 months now :),getting 3 like Czar has is not uncommon but a little unlucky, all the people I know that have LCDs have between 0 and 2 dead pixels.

Even if you get the dealer to open the LCD box to check for dead pixels, there`s always the chance one or more may go dead down the road, having said that quality control on dead pixels is getting better all the time.

Btw Czar,I think it was an Anandtech review on a LCD where they had some dead pixels, but they came back to life,so there`s still hope ;).

it was bought through the company I work at during the summers, they buy alot from them so I should be able to get it returned, but I'm not sure.... its just soo damn sweet :) hard to be without it

I'll see what I can do in the next few days, they might pop back in like they popped out, who knows :)
