Man, read what it says on the car... they couldn't explain it any better and the person in the car or people probably didnt make it out.

It would be strange to sell the car for parts seperately

it's bio-hazard. The driver or passanger has HIV, so the paramedics and/or firemen marked the car. I wouldnt touch that sh!t with a stick

The muffler and 2 back wheels look ok to touch. The seats i dont think i could touch ;( and they say the seats are in good condition. I mean i can get a good mustang for 6.5k from autotrade online.

Anyone familair with procedures - is the warning 'just-in-case', since blood/internal fluids was/were present, or was one of the passengers / victims actually a carrier? It seems like a precaution they'd take even if they didn't have the test results.

I would think someone actually had it. The car is in the junk yard and the lab probably already tested the blood.

Heres what someone said from the forumn
The person who was in the wreck probably had HIV/Aids, and they have to put it as a "disclaimer" on the parts that he/she bled on, probably to avoid the possibility of being sued as well later on.

Well, they couldn't have tested for HIV on the sceen, but perhaps the looked up his medical info via license, etc.

As it says, the drivetrain costs about that much alone from ford. Then you have three wheels, exhaust, back lights and bumper, passenger door, and I'm sure a lot of other things.

I dunno if all of that stuff is worth $6k, but mustangs aren't exactly cheap, eh?

I was assuming that would've breached confidentiality, I thought there were some legal cases concerning the privacy of that. But I guess under the circumstances, the buyer must be informed.

It wouldn't even matter really. Once HIV is exposed to air it dies in less than 20 min. How long has this car been outside?

If you're that worried about the parts then just wash them down good. HIV is a very fragile thing.

If I needed parts for a 03 mustang, I would have no issues with them.
