Is it the one about the Sun stopping? My connection is capped so I can't download it. If it is, I think it looks cool. There was a thread about it a couple of weeks ago and people here pretty much unanimously decided it was going to suck, but I thought it was cool. At the time I was banned so I couldn't throw in my 2c.

Sounds like Armageddon, except that they will land on the sun this time.

nooooo... too far away (december)
damnit

same writer as 28 days later and The Beach, and same director as 28 days later and trainspotting.
that writer is also currently partially credited with the script for the Halo movie.

and i love how Clint Mansel's theme from Requiem for a Dream is used in so many damned trailers. its perfect-like though, because it adds a layer to the trailer it feels like.

and to the above, apparently I just answered your question. ;)

I've heard that music way too many time for it to add any sort of positive value to the outlook of the movie. But the movie itself looks decent.

Well that theme makes the trailer so damn good. Btw 28days later was one of the best zombie movies that are available today and there making a 28weeks later, a follow up which should be awesome also.

Oh they're making a sequel to that? Hmm, may be interesting.

sounds like The Core....which was the worst movie in history. ( I will argue to the death that it was)

hehe yeah reminds me of the core as well, in a bad way. although even if it turn out just as bad, it should still be entertaining.

Oh please, they did this already on a burnt out core of a star in Deep Space Nine. Just some transphased sub-quantum protomatter multiphotonic explosive or something like that. :p

I wouldn't say it is like the Core, nor Armageddon. This one looks to take place in the future - no magical technology that the government has been hiding, this stuff actually has time to develop.

Hopefully they don't try to cook up how the science would work and just play off of the "it's far into the future and thus we've naturally developed the technology" card thus making the movie about the mission. Then it could actually be pretty good.

Not sure how good though, trailer makes it seem to be a typical disaster movie, not too different from Apollo 13 or even the Core (but not necessarily in the same phony sense)
