So to summarize, Fox News Channel was wrong, So used it as an excuse to bash religion, and nobody really cares.

I wouldn't know, I don't get up early enough before work to watch them. I suspect that may be why they blow, they're mostly watched by stay at home moms and the unemployed.

what's with the hate for FNC? anything before o'reilly it's the same news on all the cable news channels.

it's trendy to hate anything with even a slight conservative slant to it. just like it's trendy to hate religion. you'll see it a lot on these forums.

Its always been trendy to hate hypocrisy. I am not a liberal, more of a libertarian but Fox still gets a thumbs down from me.

i don't watch any morning news junk because i have the internets which is much more informing. however, it's still trendy to hate on conservative slants here regardless of what you think of fox news. 🙂

Up next on FauxNews,
A blonde girl is STILL missing in Aruba!
We'll have highlights and recaps of the entire story and all it's permutations coming up after this message from the RNC...

they were talking about the Infinite monkey theorem, except they got it very, very wrong. They said it was one monkey who would write the Bible...wtf?

The original theory states infinite monkeys for infinite time will write Shakespeare.

One monkey with infinite time is the same as infinite monkeys with infinite time.

pizowned

They said 'for a long time' too -- not forever or infinite, sorry, forgot to mention that.
not exactly "very, very wrong" then, is it?

(the single monkey form of the theorem is also stated in the wiki article you linked in the OP)

*ugh*
Very long != infinite and they debated abut how the expression normally went. The were arguing over wether it was the bible or hemmingway 'in the expression' neither of which is commonly used.

This is why ATOT sucks now. We're analyzing EVERY sentence and criticizing each syllable. Seriously, I was just amused by it and thought I'd share. Oy!

the original post was picking nits; figured i'd keep up the theme. *shrug*

I wouldn't have given it a second thought if they hadn't spent so long arguing about what it was, and they were all wrong on the common expression.

Watch CNBC and learn something.

Isn't CNBC a bit heavy on the business news?

that might be his point.

It is.

It ticks me off to no end to read posts about the economy or other financial matter and 90% of the posters don't have the first clue about either. Unlike morning news shows, you can actually learn something with CNBC. All other shows are fluff that fills your head with needless nonsense.

John Gibson, Neil Cavuto, Brit Hume, Fox & Friends -- need I go on? Those hosts/shows make O'Reilly Factor look responsible and accurate.

I guess I'm lucky because the Boston station for Fox has a program from 5-9am that's pretty good. They mostly cover all of the stuff that matters and avoid a lot of that goofy crap you see on The Today Show.

You can say the same thing with MessNBC and CNN...it's not like their anchors don't have a liberal slant.
