I am guilty! 😛

I cannot help but marvel at what Anand found. He saw something was wrong and let it bug him over several months until he finally figured out what was happening. His investigation into the cause of the latency impresses me.

OCZ looked to recover the money they spent in developing these things and focused on marketing the strong points while ignoring the weaknesses. I have no desire to own one of these SSD's (for desktop use) until this random access glitch is fixed. Although, I look forward to SSD use in laptops.

I like how he had the ssds in that cd storage rack, too.
 
ah to think that we'd have that kind of performance for under $1k in a few years 😀
i still remember not too long ago a 4GB sd card was $130 and i thought it was mindblowingly cheap.. now a 16GB one costs $20.

does any ramdrives transfer at 2GB/s anyways?
8GB ram costs like $50 now

Maybe we will but then the performance reqs of the OSes and programs will be much higher so no blazing fast puter without breaking the bank.
