Ninja turtles, Rescue Rangers, any power glove game, loony tunes game, and some others that i cannot really remember. Sure they were fun and great (at least for a kid) but man were they short compared to the games of today.

How about Rivercity Ransom...that game was HOT!

we did whatever we had to to get those NES carts snug. Hitting the unit, blowing in the cartridge, wiggling, cleaners....you had to push it down just so or you get the on-off-on-off-on-off lmao

This has been coming for awhile. Just wait until your in game choices also feature a grayed out area that says "AVAILABLE ONLY WITH SUCH AND SUCH DLC - CLICK TO PURCHASE"

Um, this already happened in DA:O. You came across a caravan and were able to get some crystal rod (or something), but couldn't start the mission based on it until you purchased, downloaded and installed some DLC.

Old news.

And yes, companies are finding new ways to nickle and dime the public. And it is working. Shame on us. But then it is marketing. If there is a market for people who will pay for the content, why blame the company that capitolizes on it?

but seriously, I pay $40 to take the wife to see some chick-flick on a saturday night. That is 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. I plunk down $60 for a game that I will actually enjoy and have the experience last 100 plus hours (Skyrim), if I do the math that is 50 cents an hour. I call that a bargin.

I bought the collector's edition so I'll be getting the DLC with my order...

That said, I fully understand why so many people are angry over this issue. If it were your average henchman DLC character like Zaeed or Kasumi, then none of this would be a problem because ultimately, they are just "another" henchman.

But a PROTHEAN?! Protheans are a race of alien that went extinct 50,000 years ago after the last Reaper invasion (it's going to be interesting to see how Bioware explains the existence of a living Prothean) and are of great importance to the lore of the Mass Effect Universe.

I don't think it'll be that interesting. They've already proven in ME1 that the Protheans had power sources that power life pods for 50,000 years, and that was a whole installation to start with. If all of that power had been dedicated to a single individual, I imagine it would have lasted much longer.
