The article is here i cant even start to tell you how mad this makes me, if you dont like the administration fine but dont protest the troops that are busting their a$ses to protect our way of life. Supporting iraqis that kill americans should be treason.

For once i dont even know where to start.

i agree that the person mentioned in the article is very sick and should be removed from his post, but i wonder if there is another unbiased source for this article?

a quick look at the author of the web site's bibliography shows he has written books like, "How to Beat the Democrats and Other Subversive Ideas" and has columnists of such stature as "Ann Coulter".

Remember they are from Berkley. Home of the NVA

Freedom of speech allows every one there their 15 minutes of fame. Even idiots.

The true test of Freedom of Speech is our willingness to protect speech we find repugnant. That said, I agree with you AEB. While there are times I think Bush is the enemy -- other times he's merely their unwitting tool -- we should always hold firm that the troops themselves are on our side. Though I disagree with their mission in Iraq, I respect and appreciate the fact they are willing to serve and to sacrifice for America.

As much as Iraq may or may not be turning into another Vietnam, we must all avoid one of our most tragic mistakes in that quagmire, i.e., confusing the men and women defending America with the policies of our elected officials. The troops deserve our full support no matter how we feel about the invasion itself.

My $0.02.

Agreed Bowfinger.

If you do not support the troops now, what will happen when we need their support.

In my opinion, there has been overwhelming vocal support for our troops
but not much action to back it up.

The current generation capable of mass scale disscent against the war
does not seek to influence the vietnam era generation people that are
currently staging their attack on the current administration. This current
strategy of capitalizing on emotional events would be employed,
regardless of the party in power, and sadly
will ultimately result in many deaths to our troops.

History has taught us that political goals must be put on hold
during popular wars, if we do not wish to fail our mission.

We can not even come to a consensus on this..

No good way to solve this problem.

"By any means necessary"

Indefensible, and unethical. The ends DO NOT justify the means.

That's the point--and these folk are missing it.

The same point the Bush administration fails to understand or respect. The same point terrorists fail to understand or respect.

Pitiful, but how will these misguided fools learn any different when our supposed leaders show them the way. The way of fools.

Well said.

One should always protect freedom of speech, even when one disagrees with what's being said, and one should always support the troops even if one disagrees with the people who put them in the situation they're in now.
