I speak of this thread here.

I take offense to most of what is said in here personal. Im overweight, I used to not be, but since my accident I put on some pounds, and the way the word fatty is being used in that thread, EVEN BY OUR MODS, is un acceptable, unprofessional, and intolerable. If *****, my lover, cracker, honkey, and such cant be said, neither should hate threads be allowed, and our own mods should know better then to jump on that wagon, and should be dealt with just like any regular member, or worse for they should be setting an example, or higher setting for us to follow, not jump in on a hate thread!

I did not ask what has happened to me to cause me to get fat to happen happen. I cannot do anything to change it, and before I got fat, I was 6'4" 300lbs, and took up 3 seats on a plane and barely fit into the seat at all because I have extremely wide shoulders and was not fat at all, so its not always because a person is fat, its because of how they cram more people into a plane by making the seat s small a Chinese child can barely fit into the damn seat, but it still doesnt give the right to let HATE thread stay open. And just because your skinny means youre healthy either.

This thread, the people in it, and the mods all need to be dealt with accordingly for it is a hate thread against a class of people, no different then a race of people, and its bull that mods, even the off topic mod, jumped in, and its still open.

I can see the issue you're having and I understand it. It's just that with something like half 2/3 of adult Americans are overweight with half of that number being considered "obese". It didn't magically happen and some attribute it only to lack of self-control and are looking down at that by striking out against fat people directly.

Plus, it is ATOT, tons of insensitive a-holes there.

At 71" and 250+ lbs, I am overweight by 50+, yet this week, I had no problem sitting in seats on a Southwest 737.

I could easly drop the 50 and the wife would still have her pillow, but it is difficult with age and lifestyle.

Why one is that way become irrelevant; some have the ability to change, others do not.
There are always classes of people that one may not like; maturity accepts it and moves on.

You have a legitimate reason as to why you may be overwieght, so there is no reason to feel bad about it. I think most people are referring to the fat assholes that cannot stop going to McDonalds even though they are already on track to die at the age of 40 from pure gluttony.

Hey, just for kicks, lets just switch all the words fatty, with the word, great person, and in doing so, tell me how then that thread does not all of a sudden doesnt kinda single out on class of people, THOUGH they may be black, white, yellow, what have you, its still a thread, though using the word fatty, or what have you, that is open, that is putting down a class of people, who may not have any control over their weight, or what have you for their weight, just as someone who may not have control over the color of their skin, that still hurts that person emotionally, just as it would you, if they were to ind your faults, and make fun of you for them you may have no control over.

Though the topic may be genuine, it has still become a thread about people bitching about how they hate fate people with a passion, which is NO DIFFERENT, then saying how you may hate a *****, or beloved patriot, or zipper head, but saying you can get away with it because your using a 12 year olds word like fatty, is ok. I think not. If we are not to tolerate hate against race, even in ot, then we should not tolerate hate against a persons body mass as well, or the style of their clothes, or what have you, for it still should not give the right because 2/3rd of the people are fat, for just because you are skinny doesnt mean you are in good health anyway, for there are people who are fat, and in much better health then many skinny people. I am actually one of them, because though I am fat, have type II diabetes, thanks to my injuries and lack of exercise now, and have high blood pressure because of massive stress and other factors, I actually have perfect cholesterol, better then most skinny people who work out regularly, and my doctor was freaked out by the findings, and I am pushing over 400lbs now at 6'4" and cant do almost nothing at all, and eat 1-2 times a day if Im lucky. And Im not on any pills for that, on pills for everything else, but not a one to keep that down. But point is, Im better in that area probably then most of you, and Im a fat ass by your standards.

And Im not just taking offense to this because IM fat, and I used to be skinny at one point, Im taking offense to this because of the double standards played at this site, and this being one of them, and the other being we cant say shit, fuck or damn in titles, like its all ok to come in and read for the children, but once the child clicks on into the thread, its nothing but cuss words in it, thats silly shit there as well. If you cant cuss in the title for the kids or what have you, then you sure as hell shouldnt be able to cuss in the thread either, for just like the hate threads its got to be ALL OR NOTHING!

THAT IS MY BEEF, for once you replace all the fat, fatty, flabby, words within that thread, or any weight, words with a race word, just pick one, and omg, you got a full blown, all bloody hell, race riot against a class of people going on there in that thread, but its ok, because its just fat people, and they dont mind it one bit.....Bull shit.

When is the term fatty used in a positive sense? If it isn't hateful, then it is at least demeaning and often used with malice.

EDIT: That said, I agree with the rule linked to in the article. I also believe that plane tickets should be calculated based on weight. It lame that a 400 pound dude can have a 50lb luggage, but my 100lb girlfriend can't have a 51lb luggage.

Not all overweight people can lose weight. A lot of of it can depend on genetics. You think that someone can just jump on a treadmill, eat healthy, and go to the gym to lose weight? Bullshit. Open up your fuckin mind and do some research.

In Jason's case and many others, accidents can play a part in it. Imagine being in an accident and having a difficult enough time to walk. You really think strenuous activity is an option?

Well I just got to thinking, after some of the replies, by some f the members, some mods, and it seems to be OK, and no big deal to pick on the fatties, that when the time comes and threads are made of people with a eating disorder, and are sickly skinny and dieing, then I guess it be fair game in return for all of us to poke fun and call names up, and joke at that person for looking like a twig. I dont understand why then this forum just cant agree, and shut down any thread like this no mater what. IF there are more fat people then skinny people, then they would win the majority vote here that would love to never see these kinds of threads even be started in the first place.
