So I went to the Apple store last week with a friend of mine to the OS X 10.3 (aka "Panther") release event, and they handed out these promo dog tags to everyone who entered the store.

Nothing special, just black aluminum tags with "X" and some type on it.

Since I have less than no use for such things, I put it on ebay last night, with an opening bid of $1.00 and, to make things easier, a "Buy it now" price of $17.50.

We had a garage sale last weekend. You'd be amazed at the crap people will buy. My GF swore we could sell old socks, three for a buck... and they SOLD! 😕

I also got 200 bucks for an old Fujitsu 100Mhz lappy with 40MB of RAM and a 1 GB hard drive. 😕

Champaign, IL. We were amazed at how much we got.

Hold a garage sale, advertise it in the local paper detailing the most interesting stuff and sign all the streets leading in to your subdivision. There is a subgroup of people in our society that LIVE by shopping garage sales. It boggles the mind, I tell ya!
 
I still like the fact that people regularly buy used items for more than the same item costs new. Freaking baffoons.

That would be me in the summer, except I make plenty of extra money by buying at garage sales for 25 cents and reselling on ebay for many many times that amount. Which reminds me... I should get home and post some things on ebay.
