Because of Crap like this! There used to be another site just like it called ScabHunter.com, but I think they were forced to take the pictures down by the company. I like how their logo is crosshairs like on a gun.

They have the right to picket and go on strike, but isn't this kinda threatening to people who just want to work and earn some money? Why else post their pics if not to harass them.

UPDATE

Here is the proposed contract if anyone wants to read it and see what this is all about. I've read it and it seems fair to me. But maybe that's because it's more than what I get (benefits wise). I guess if you already have Platinum and someone offers Silver you'll get mad and strike.

I was a scab for verizon not a short time ago.
Being high profile was great. Arguing with scruffy jackass union guys. Getting in rock throwing and fist fights.
Taking all of their insane overtime pay was the best though.
We would take our pay stubs, and parade them through the picket line.

Well at least that's what you say on the Internet.

Go take pictures of the union members and put them up online saying that they're known pedophiles or something.

You should be around for a UAW strike with scabs.

People who were known to be scabs have had their houses shot at and have had jackrocks (welded together nails) thrown in front of their cars.

I just looked at thier stats page:

We have received 2379 pages views since 10.2003, 131 today, and 81 yesterday.

Ironically, this thread has probably more than doubled the exposure of that site. Way to go!

ah.

i dont like unions regardless.

i think with the grocery store strikes, they should fire the whole store and rehire new employees.

Your "thats the way it is on the internet" seems to be repetitive and condescending.
You're a experienced old man, do you want an effing cookie? Or do you need to put your teeth in first?

The stores have that option. I wonder why they don't do it?

Well it was better than me just coming out and saying you are a fscking liar.

From dictionary.com

A worker who refuses membership in a labor union.
An employee who works while others are on strike; a strikebreaker.
A person hired to replace a striking worker.

🙂

In high school I had a very good friend who's Dad was an electrician for Cat. About 10 years ago the UAW in Peoria, IL were striking during Christmas. This was a long strike. Started around Thanksgiving if I remember properly and went through January or February. Money was getting very tight and my buddies Dad was being offered about 3x his normal hourly rate to go through the lines and work. Since he had to provide for his family he chose to go in and work. He had his life threatened for being a scab.

I've seen the term used both ways.
Well unless it's a Right to Work State a Union member who refuses to go out on strike wouldn't be a Union member for long.

three cheers for right to work states!
Yep. I totally agree with the Union members right to strike but I don't believe that someone who is a Member of the Union and who doesn't agree with the strike should be forced to walk out and forgo his paycheck.

Hoffa is alive!

I was talking to my grandpa, who drove truck back in the 60's when the teamsters were so powerful, he owned a few trucks and had ppl driving under him as well.. The unionized truckers would through bricks through the windows of his trucks, and one time someone threw a hatchet through the window, while he was driving. Yes, unions have their place, but they also need to get smacked a round a little, i'm thinking.
