This is why I envy Americans

You would have to dig pretty fucking hard to find this amount of rednecking compressed into a 2 and a half minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkhnGT4hM6s Warning, if you see it, you cannot unsee it.

Now I can argue that this isn't my "culture" since it's Serbian, they were "the other side" during the war but the truth is, we have that crap too and worse, it's equally popular. I mean, that video has 4 mil views and I doubt that many watch it for the lulz. I don't think Americans can find something as embarrassing. As a matter of fact, I was always worried about my American friends stumbling onto this stuff and looking differently at me if they did.

We do have some highlights too (No Man's Land, won an Oscar for best foreign film in 2001) but it's definitely overshadowed by this and the "turbofolk" phenomenon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K15LKh4L6Sk

I'm confused. Are they trying to promote the car or something?

There's really not much "rednecking" in that video. I don't see anything particularly bad. I still don't understand why it has nearly 4m views. 😵

A redneck would go mud bogging with a pickup truck or ATV.

I watched it, didn't really understand what it was about, but the singing was fair enough. Perhaps if I understood the lyrics I would see what was so embarrassing, but I wouldn't worry about American friends seeing that and thinking anything bad.

~edit~ I'll add my nomination for redneck video Squirrel melts. Not safe for weak stomachs.
