That is true.. in NY EMTS are paid 12 usually.. 15 if they are lucky and paramedics are 17-20 and it requires a 2 year degree since they're ones that give injectable meds and intubate.

So nowhere enough to make an actual living.. most have to work more than daily shifts and the conservaterrorist army tries to sleeze her? Shows what a shit company NYPOST and the Murdochs are.

Haha AOC nails it, however I also agree employers are free to establish “ethical” standards regarding employees. As in if she becomes known for doing only fans Pr0n AND she become known as working for x company/hospital they are free to fire her.

religious schools can fire teachers who get pregnant but are not married. is that really any more or less bullshit than this? if there's a line, it's extremely fine, that's for damn sure.

Yeah it is a fine line. Employers can also fire the Grand Klan Wizard if he becomes known.
Basically my point is if you become known for something dubious that reflects poorly on your job or employer they have a right to fire you. See the Nurse that refused to believe Covid existed.

Yea, I don't agree with that all the time. What you do on your own time is your time. There's a line, but this doesn't go near it. In fact, you'd probably want her showing up to save your life 😉

the content doesn't bother me, even if I'm not into whatever she's doing. Americans have hangups with sex and body image. I grew up with that and in my adult years, I'm not into that, it's a total behavior mind fuck that leads to mental disorders.

If peers at work find out about it and start harassing her either at work or outside of it, then her peers are the problem.

Now, if she goes to the web to threaten peers at work, that's a problem.

While I don't disagree with employers' right to keep "ethical standards" (a entirely subject term of course), the bigger problem is this countries pearl clutching when it comes to anything sexually related. So what if she shows some boobies online? It's pathetic that America is so introverted with this stuff.

Basic conservative economic theory states that you have to bust your fucking hump to barely get by in this country. If only she'd work harder, or was smarter, she'd be more successful. Meanwhile, the rich owner of the company deserves to make millions because they are "taking all of the risks and making important decisions" to employ people like her. The thought that maybe some of the wealth could actually be given to some of the employees of the business is laughable, they get paid what the market demands. If she doesn't like it, she can go elsewhere, maybe to another company that pays the same or less for the same work. Damn socialists.

My former roommate is a paramedic for the FDNY. The EMS is treated like some bastard stepchild. It's not even considered part of the NYC uniform services, so their pay is just terrible compared to fire/police/sanitation, despite responding to the most calls per year.

I should also add that independent EMTs, like the transport companies, get really screwed on hourly wages and benefits.

My wife's niece was one of many EMT's that responded to the mass shooting in Las Vegas at the outdoor concert. I asked her about it, and she said it was like a war zone scene in a movie. I was surprised at how little they make a year, about the same as a guy that stands behind the counter at a parts store and hands you spark plugs. Maybe less.
